With my wedding six months away, operation “Fit In That Dress!” is in full effect.
In no way am I saying I am over weight, but I would like to tone up before spending my first married weeks on the beaches of the Hawaiian Islands.
I want my abs to glisten in the sun light and a booty like Jlo… It may take some time to achieve, but with this simple techniques and mini work outs, I know I’ll be there in no time.
The key to losing weight fast and toning up is simple. It’s all about consistency and clean eating.
Eating clean doesn’t mean you can’t eat all the foods you love, it just means to eat less of them. A donut here and there won’t kill you!
Cutting back on fatty foods, carbs (Bread), sugary drinks (Soda), and fruit juices (apple juice) will really do a lot for your body. Like I said before you don’t have to rid of all these things that make us look bad in all the right places, you just need to cut back.
If you drink soda everyday, try drinking it once a day and eventually cutting it out all together and possibly substituting with something else such as coffee, tea, or Naked Smoothies. Coffee is a natural diuretic, so though it may not be the best for your teeth, it’s going to rid of all the junk in your tummy.
Tip: Carmel Macchiato’s are my fav, but it’s definitely not diet friendly so instead of Starbucks, I’m going to use my good ole friend, Kurieg.
- 8 Ounce Coffee
- 1/3 Milk Lactaid Milk
- 1 Splendid Sugar Packet
Tip: When drinking tea opt out your regular tea for a dieters tea. Dieters tea is tea that is going to make you go, if you know what I mean. It is going to detoxify your body and release all impurities. I suggest drinking this before bed or when you don’t have plans, because you never know when you’re going to have to “go”. This is my favorite diet trick because it is safe, and a healthy alternative to diet pills which I don’t recommend.
Tip: If you can’t stand coffee or tea and love your fruit juices, try something on the healthier side, like Naked Smoothies or Odwalla. Yes they have sugar, but not much and they have more vitamins and nutrients and 180 calories is nothing. These drinks are so yummy and can substitute for an unhealthy snack if you are having cravings.
Tip: Drink LOTS of water!! My biggest tip is to drink lots of water. Water is so good for your body and is the best thing to make you drop pounds like that! Water clears out all the bad things in your body and lets you relieve water weight which decreases bloating, which you know we all hate! Water is your best friend when it comes to toning up in a short amount of time.
Next trick is to exercise. You don’t have to have a gym membership to get a work out in, so below are some at home work outs that will shape and tone you in no time.
- 20 Regular Crunches
- 20 Crunches legs at a 90 degree angle
- 20 Crunches legs all the way up
- 20 Crunches back down to a 90 degree angle
- 20 Regular crunches
100 crunches total
- 10 Squats
- 20 lunges
- 10 Straight legged lifts (Hyper extension lower back)
- 10 Squats
- 20 Lunges
Run a Mile
Once you’ve got your eating and exercise routine in order, next thing I suggest is getting on a schedule. Wake up early, eat three times a day if possible. Stay active and mobile and stick to your routine. If you can get at least eight hours of sleep, that will really help your body get through this transformation with ease.
Just follow these steps and operation “Fit in that dress” won’t only become a task, but a lifestyle.
